Bad
Cat Tagger
Bad
cats. Bad cats. Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
Some
cats are just born bad. I should know; I've got a little mugger
of my own.
The Bad
Cat Tagger site came out of the gate like a hairball from
Hell with the "Bad
Cat Tagger" logo - cat graffiti's always been a problem,
of course, but till now, at least, we didn't have to see
it.
Things
didn't stop there. You know how these gang wars have a way
of snowballing. At this point, Bad Cat's expanded and recruited
and diversified itself into an urban feline threat of unprecedented
proportions, homes.
Whatcha gonna do?

Baggy urban Bad Cat gear
There
are t-shirts, both in white and in garish, street smart colors;
there are sweatshirts and hoodies, kids' shirts, and some
slinky, fashionable tops for you hot cat mamas, too. There's
even... no, wait. I'll tell you later.
And you've got accessories, too, like
some pretty cool messenger bags, for one of those late-night
"courier jobs" you're always getting talked into.
Start with the ever-popular "Bad
Cat Tagger" logo, of course
- it's on that messenger bag up above - but prepare to be
recruited by the Unlucky
13 t-shirt at the right.
You
may be confused by the "FBI
Cat" shirt - I mean, what do the feds have to do
with this? Have we got cat informers now, too? Can you say
"Mark of the Squealer"?
But wait - it's all a clever feint;
these camouflaged Bad Cats are actually members of the Feline
Brotherhood International, which sounds like a bunch of
Commies to me.
You've got to remember what Bad
Cats these are. You can't expect them to take anything but
a lazy, irresponsible attitude about anything you'd rather
have found in the litter box.
And speaking of that - they've
devised a clever bit of identification for their lackeys,
in the "My
Real Job is Cleaning the Litter Box" t-shirt. Word.

Mainstreaming the Bad Cat

All
those impressionable cats in the urban wasteland are being
seduced by the Bad Cat image; they think it's cool.
You hear their music everywhere these days.
So as the edgy, non-neutered Bad Cat
image gets domesticated and diluted into the mainstream,
we've started to see their personal style crop up in all sorts
of places that your Original Bad Cat wouldn't stoop to spray
in.
You see these mudflap
cats? That's what I'm talkin' about.
But
I've saved the best example of mainstreamed Bad Cats for last.
It seems incredible, but even fashion-conscious dogs
have gotten into the act, as we see here - a species-conflicted
hound decked out in a "Dog
Shit Happens" dog t-shirt. You just have to wonder
if he even knows whose culture he's trying to assimilate.
Bad Cat Tagger is the feverish brainchild
of Jean Roth, from Rotem
Design Studio. Jean's been forced to clean the cat box
just once too often by her own streetwise feline masters,
and the Bad
Cat Tagger site seems to be the result. Feel her pain!
