Here's a pair of design drawings for the personal rocket ships we still haven't ever gotten*, hot off the drawing boards of the Retropolis Rocket Works.

They're official, right down to the "Approved for Construction" stamps, here signed by the renowned engineers Buddy Deering and Hugo Gernsbach. These babies ought to rolling down the assembly line any day now.

Each of these roadster rockets was initially inspired by a vintage car; on top, a Ferrari race car; on the bottom, a Morgan three wheeler. But the Morgan got away from me in the curves and turned itself into something else; something I liked quite a bit, as it turned out. So I let it stay that way.

ABOUT THE PRINTS

These prints are made to order by deviantPrints, using an archival quality photographic process on Fujifilm Crystal Archive paper. They're rated to last over 100 years without fading - though no prints should be left where they'll be baked by direct sunlight. The color fidelity, clarity and paper weight of these prints is far superior to the poster-quality reproductions I also sell here. They're pretty much the bee's knees.

You can order a print in either glossy or matte finish. This is mainly a matter of personal taste, but I do think that the glossy prints give you a sharper representation of the original digital image.
