"Sun Horse, Moon Horse" is a colorful and detailed celtic design of two winged horses - one for the Sun, one for the Moon. Knotwork designs surround and include them, with other intricate borders appearing on their bodies.

Above and below are wide borders with a design of interlaced dogs separated by the faces of the Sun (above) and Moon (below). The Moon shows her four phases across the border.

"Sun Horse, Moon Horse" is also the name of a powerful, short book by Rosemary Sutcliff; the book is about the nature of art and the nature of leadership, and the creation of the Great Chalk Horse of Uffington. This painting has no connection with that book other than its title.

 These prints are made to order by deviantPrints, using an archival quality photographic process on Kodak Edge and Kodak Endura papers. They're rated to last over 100 years without fading - though no prints should be left where they'll be baked by direct sunlight. The color fidelity, clarity and paper weight of these prints is far superior to the poster-quality reproductions I also sell here. They're pretty much the bee's knees.

You can order a print in either glossy or matte finish. This is mainly a matter of personal taste, but I do think that the glossy prints give you a sharper representation of the original digital image, because of their greater contrast.

Important Note
 These archival quality prints are supplied by a different vendor than my other merchandise, and use a separate shopping cart. You cannot place a single order for both archival prints and, for example, coffee mugs. Archival prints will ship separately from other items.

Celtic Artwork archival art prints
This is where it all started, for me; not everything, I mean, but this is the first way I hoped to sell my artwork through the World Wide Web.

In the late 1990's I was doing plenty of artwork with digital tools. Although it had been ten years or more since I'd been a painter it still bothered me that I no longer had originals. The work I did now seemed ephemeral when I compared it with the solid reality of the paintings I used to make.

It took a few more years to find a way to offer these prints. They've joined all my other merchandise now and I'm very happy that they're here.
The art on these pages is copyrighted, at dates between 1997 and the present, by Bradley W. Schenck. This web site is entirely safe when used as directed. The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away. If you're reading this you are way, way too close and - possibly - you have too much time on your hands.
